THE CABIN
Ever wanted a cabin in the mountains? How about a cabin on a cool mountain lake? Our cabin can be your cabin for a long weekend or even a week or two. We have a canoe and a fishing boat for your use, you can swim, fish, boat, build a campfire, sit on the dock, sit on the screen porch, you can just relax. To busy to relax, we have all the comforts of home with high speed internet, streaming TV, new HVAC system, remodeled inside and out and more. Here is something fun, the cabin was built over time, the studio front of the cabin (kitchen and living area) has floors from a long forgotten textile plant in Greenville County, SC.
Updates in 2021 include, inside of cabin has been totally repainted, the tile and engineered wood has been replaced with new vinyl planking, (the mill floor remains in the living and kitchen), new appliances, (fridge, range, microwave, washer and dryer and dishwasher) new kitchen cabinets and countertops, new mattress in the master bedroom, new TV in master bedroom, plus in 2020 we replaced the hot water heater and more!
Late Spring 2021- We have already ordered a new pedal pontoon boat for guest use, the pontoon is powered by you so it meets the new lake association requirements, it has a swim ladder and a canvas top for shade. We also have a kayak, canoe, and fishing boat for guest use. Guest are not allowed to bring there own boat and guest are not allowed to operate motorized (electric or gas) on the lake per the lake membership.

Lake Becky, Oconee County Mountains, Oconee State Park (we have pass to get you in for free), Stumphouse Tunnel, Walhalla State Fish Hatchery, Waterfalls in all directions, Camping, hiking, mountain bike trail, Cashiers, NC, Sapphire Valley, NC, Highlands, NC, Whitewater Falls, The Foothills Trail, Walhalla, SC, Clemson, SC, Oconee Station, Gorges State Park (NC), Devils Fork State Park (SC), Duke Power World of Energy, are all a short (less than 45 minutes) drive from cabin, with several destinations within walking distance.
Cashiers and Highlands, NC have great places to eat and shop, Walhalla, SC also has great food and antique hunting. A little further and you can snow ski or tube in Sapphire Valley, NC in the winter (less than an hour), other fun day trips are Clayton, GA, Franklin, NC, Maggie Valley, NC, Brevard, NC, Greenville, SC (voted a top 10 destination in the USA), Ashville, NC, and world class entertainment and gaming at Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC.
Rates
Rates vary, but we want to be affordable. On average the daily rate is $85.00 a night. You will see pricier homes, but I you want find a nicer place to stay! Clemson Football and Fall change of color in the mountains are the peak time for us, but again we want to be a place you can make your second home for years to come.
